Reading to Destroy: July 2009

What I read

Just to give you a point of reference when I'm discussing different works, it might help if you got a smattering of an idea of my tastes. Haruki Murakami is by far my favorite author. I picked up The Wind Up Bird Chronicles some years ago and have been a rabid follower ever since. Other authors I adore are Clive Barker, Franz Kafka, C.S. Lewis, Christopher Moore, Joyce Carol Oates, Chuck Palahniuk, Neil Gaiman and many others that just aren't coming to mind right now.
Aside from these authors, favorite books include Les Miserables, The Communist Manifesto, The Brothers Karamazov, Wuthering Heights and many others that, again, just aren't coming to mind right now.
Also, I'm going to be talking a lot about graphic novels and comics. Hope you don't mind. Strike that. Don't really care if you don't mind.
